Here's a bit of rare Apple news... a recall! Of course, it's not one of their iconic iDevices, but is actually one of their new Beats products. It turns out the new Beats Audio Pill XL speaker has a slight fire hazard risk, so Apple is no issuing a full recall and offering a refund for those who purchased the device. In order to identify the Beats Pill XL (in case you aren't quite sure what you own?), you will simply need to find the the words "beats pill XL" on the handle, and the Beats "b" logo on the speaker grille. The Beats Pill XL came in black, metallic sky, pink, titanium and white color options.
Apple is specifically asking users to stop using the device, so it must be a fairly serious issue. Owners can head over to the link below in order to facilitate the process of getting a refund. You can choose to receive an Apple Store credit or electronic payment of $325.
