Apple released iOS 8 at this year’s WWDC with a lot of new features and it said that they new software is going to be publicly available for iPhone and iPad users at the beginning of this fall. However, Apple releases beta versions for developers and also for those savvy enough to give it a try. The newly released second beta of iOS 8 includes the addition of the QuickType keyboard for iPad and an improvement which makes the Podcasts app a native app that cannot be uninstalled. This was also done with the iBooks app in iOS 8 beta 1. Previously, both apps were available as free downloads from iTunes but now they will be part of the default iOS experience.
