Apple Replacing Some iPad 2s for Backlight Bleeding Issues

Here's another attempt.

Sorry to hear about all the back round bleeding guys but I really do not have that problem and am surprised to hear how many people do.

I've been researching this screen bleeding issue for the past few days. I just got back from my local Best Buy. I finally got an answer that pretty much settles the whole thing (at least for me). The guy at the store told me that Apple was pretty "anal" (his word, not mine) about their products, but if they needed to, they're very good about recalling things. Also, that it should not be forgotten that Apple's sold millions of these things already and they haven't issued any recalls.

He told me that I shouldn't worry about it until if/when I have reason to.

i am taking back my ipad2 16 gb to bestbuy they have not one in stock so just order one from apple and went up to 32 gb my light bleeding seems to be getting worst and this is the last week i can return to bestbuy so i am

I hope this issue gets resolved soon, but until it does I'm going to stick with my old, reliable first gen iPad. I just won't pay over $800 for a brand new "defective" product - not even something as awesome as the iPad 2. Maybe I'll just wait for iPad 3 - lol

Guess I've been lucky, no probs with MacBook Pro, iPad, IPad 2, iPhone 3, iPhone 4

Knowing my luck, all off them will break tonight.....

I've noticed minimal bleeding in mine. The most abundant area is around the area where the smart cover magnets attach. Does anyone know if the magnets could be causing the issue.....or making it worse?

I am on my 2nd one, and it still has a little bleed. I think i will live with it. Doesn't really bother me.

Sent from my iPad 2 using iPF

So im getting one over this summer is there any way to prevent it? Does it happen to all ipad 2??

It certainly doesn't happen to all iPad2s - the majority of users either don't notice the issue or it hasn't affected them. iPad Forum members are, of course, a highly discriminatory group of technically savvy users, who are very particular about their iPads, so I suspect you see more reported problems on this Forum than you'll see in the general population.
