According to the latest intel, despite Apple's ongoing feud with and desire to break away from Samsung, they will still be relying on them for display panels of new iPad products. Specifically, we have reports that Samsung will be supplying the majority of panels for Apple's new iPad Air 2 and the rumored 12.9-inch iPad Pro.
This report suggests that the iPad Pro will be released in early 2015, although no specifics were given. Here's a quote with a few more details,
The iPad Air 2 is rumored to feature a slightly thinner body, a faster A8 processor, 2GB of RAM, support for Apple Pay, and a Touch ID fingerprint sensor. Meanwhile, the 12.9-inch iPad Pro is said to include a more powerful A8X processor to power its larger, high-resolution display.
As long as the new iPads are as amazing as they always have been, it probably doesn't matter who makes the display panels. What do you think?
