According to fresh reports circulating online, it seems that Apple is gearing up to offer web-based support for Beats products alongside its own. As a matter of fact, 9to5Mac reports that starting tomorrow, Apple’s online support representatives will be able to help with issues surrounding Beats headphones and speakers, as well.
Apple already provides online support for Macs, iPhones, iPads, and iPods, and now it seems that Apple is set to expand its support to Beats products. Mark Gurman with 9to5Mac says the following:
"Apple will expand its support capabilities for Beats by Dre hardware products, like headphones and speakers, next week by launching web-based chat support, according to sources. Customers in need of support for their Beats devices will be able to instant message with a support representative via Apple’s support website beginning on Monday, February 23rd. "
During the past month, Apple began moving Beats phone-based support wholly in-house after still using the headphone maker’s outsourced support for most of last year. Apple customers will be able to get help with things like product setup and troubleshooting minor problems, among others.
