According to MacRumors, yesterday’s Cyber Monday was a record-breaker, with newly released data from Adobe showing that November 27, 2017, was the “largest online sales day in history,” with $6.59 billion spent on the day. This represents a 16.8% year-over-year sales increase.
Adobe’s stats used Adobe Sensei and Adobe Analytics to analyze data from more than 1 trillion visits to more than 4,500 retail sites and 55 million SKUs. And as you might expect, several Apple products came out on top of that mountain of data.
In particular, the AirPods were some of the best selling items overall, and iPads also topped the best-selling electronics category, along with AirPods (again), Google Chromecast, Samsung Tablets, Nintendo Switch, to name but a few.
This was also a record-breaking Cyber Monday in terms of people ordering goods on their mobile devices, with 47.4% of visits coming from mobile devices, 39.9% of those being on smartphone, and 7.6% on tablet. iOS was the top OS, with an average order value of $123, and Android a little less, with $110.
