Hello. I've researched all I can, I don't believe I'm repeating a question in the forum, but apologies in advance I'm stuck.

I had an unrecoverable hack that wouldn't allow me to reboot my jailbreak (4.3 jailbreakme). I've been trying to restore without upgrading by using my SHSH and an Apple firmware using TinyUmbrella.

iPad 2 3g CDMA and I've downloaded correct firmware.

Ultimately, I can get in DFU, get TU running, etc and I believe it must be successful because I get through the whole process until, "Restoring iPad Firmware..." in Windows iTunes status window. It will stay there for hours and I don't believe that should be the case.

Since it seemed I was in a hang, I backed out using TU to Exit Recovery but ultimately, iTunes will just tell me that the iPad needs to restore.

I'm burnt out, any advice would be extremely welcome.

I tried a second PC and ended up in the exact same place. Stuck in the flashing firmware portion at the end. If I prematurely end that, I get error 3015 but I can't knock it out of the restore loop using tinyumbrella or any other method I've tried.

I use my device a lot, I may have to bite the bullet and go current, but again if anyone has advice it would be appreciated.

If you saved your blobs, and from what I understand about TU supporting the baseband now, you should be able to downgrade if you update.
( Let's wait and see what Leigh says, in case I am wrong )

Thanks, SweetP

(I know f4780y is going to come running in here very soon to correct me, so wait to see what he says)

You only need correcting if you are wrong, but you are not :)

As long as the OP confirms this checklist, they should be OK...

1. With the latest TU running, it should 4.3.3 blobs and you must have pressed "Start TSS Server" button.
2. iPad has been put into DFU mode.
3. In iTunes use shift-restore (option-restore on OSX) to select the 4.3.3 firmware from your disk (download it from our sticky if you don't have it)

Everything else should process as normal and the 4.3.3 firmware should be re-installed.

Well, unfortunately I can confirm that checklist. I simply seem unable to complete the flash and leave the boot loop I described. Perhaps there is a hardware problem with my drive though the timing seems odd.

There must have been something wrong with my blob. No luck on 3rd machine with friend doing process. I restored with Apple and it immediately worked. Now I'm in mourning, but I needed my iPad.
