Hello, I was wondering about the /feature flag/ settings in Safari. Not being an IT EXPERT or some kind of scientist, I don’t really know what they all mean. They used to be referred to as experimental features , my question is are there privacy issues? Should I just set them to the default? Turn them all on or off? I don’t think the average person would have much success trying to figure out all of this. Safari works fine regardless as to whatever they are set too, I’m not too concerned, but I am still curious. THANKS. iPad 10nth gen/18.

They are mostly for web developers, so that they can turn on/off advanced feature support for Safari when testing websites. I assume that the ones on by default are features that Apple has decided are stable enough to be supported without a risk of creating problems for the user.

Unless you find a site that has special features you can't, but want to use, I would just leave them alone.

You'd probably have to do a deep dive into the web developers world to find out what each of them do. Well, some seem somewhat self explanatory, but many aren't.

You may have noticed more and more website that act like apps. Most of these features are meant to push that trend forward.

Thank you Twerppoet, well said! I don’t need to be a scientist to understand that.
Have a happy THANKSGIVING!
