MY iPad 2 auto corrects my email when I don't want it to. It is very frustrating to have to manually correct it. I would prefer to not turn autocorrect off as it is very useful in most instances. Can ipad2 remember common entries? Example: my email username is earlBoston, but ipad2 autocorrects to ear Boston.

There's a neat workaround! One of our Members noticed that the autocorrect never corrects entries in the Contacts list. So he suggested, and it works just fine, put words you don't want corrected as 'spoof' entries in the Contacts database on the iPad. A great solution!

What a great solution. I think autocorrect does drive all of us crazy at some time. I've noticed though with words I use all the time, like my daughters names which are a little different, that the auto correct doesn't change them now, it just sometimes underlines them in red. So I think it may have the ability to learn over time the words that you use frequently. Is that right?

LOL! This just made me laugh! My real name is Verleen Wonderly and almost every virtual keyboard I've used, EXCEPT the iOS one, has always autocorrected it to Overseen Wonders! The iOS one is the ONLY one that's not given me a problem.

That is funny. Lol

There's a website where people submit their autocorrect horror/funny stories. I think it's called Damn You Autocorrect.

There are some emails doing the rounds about this too. They are hilarious.
