Battery percentage not accurate - is there a fix?

I got my ipad pro 12.9 2018 when using samsung type c usb cable to charge the unit while using the ipad the battery indicator did'nt increase in capacity indicator but when i shut downand turn on the unit it shows the increaded charge capacity..this doesn't happened in 2nd gen.. what is the workaround for this to show the accurae charged capacity without shutdown the unit.. please help
