Hot on the heels of yesterday's strong rumour (and now even stronger, following on from this news!) that Target will be stocking the iPad in time for the holiday season, Best Buy has announced today that it will expand availability of the Apple iPad with Wi-Fi, and Wi-Fi +3G models, to all 1,093 US stores from September 26th. The press release announcing the move made a point of mentioning that Best Buy is a "preferred channel partner" for the iPad. Here's what Wendy Fritz, senior vice president of computing at Best Buy, had to say about the announcement:
"Technology is becoming more and more personal, and our customers say they really value visiting a Best Buy store to touch and try the iPad for themselves. We're delighted that we'll soon make that opportunity available to everyone who'd like to come see us, and experience this device in any Best Buy store nationwide."
