Mine never did but I would say in the last week it is occurring more and more often. At least a couple times a day.

Possibly...as long I don't lose my whole game it is just a slight annoyance.

Don't think so. Maybe just because I'm on ipad 2 and it can't cope with the higher level cities?

I want to update my iPad iOS version and I don't want to lose my city
The last time I updated the iPad had to restore and I lost Rock Vegas city
Is there a way to save my game status and not losing all the data?

Does anyone know the cost/time to upgrade the chemical plant to level 3,4,5 and the weaving factory to level 4, and the oil refinery to level 5?
It's not listed in the wiki....

Perform a backup prior to update. I go to the Genius Bar at the apple store to have them do the major updates. They always make sure I do a complete backup to the iCloud
