So true. Who wants to have a city with 70% entertainment and 30% true production. Production is the driving force of this game. I think it is counterproductive to raise happiness on existing buildings just to buy entertainment buildings just to buy more factories. The bet way to remedy their error is to put it back the way they had it or create new entertainment buildings with more happiness. And not to try and fix it by giving us entertainment buildings only if we buy credits. They are really backwards.

You hit the nail on the head. There's part of me that strongly suspects none of us will be here in 6 months time still discussing this game. It isn't exactly evolving, it's not going anywhere. The "barbed wire area" and the as-yet unbridged islands will no doubt turn out to be additional "spend lots of real money" tasks with impossible deadlines. Our villages will be filled with ranks of donut cafes, baseball courts, and whatever extreme sports parks or club houses they decide to try to sell us. The game concept is great (which is why we're all here) but the execution is grubby (pay, pay, pay!). Shame really, as it has lots of potential - still - if developed properly by people who care primarily about gaming and social media and the opportunities presented to them and not entirely about making a fast buck (....before everyone loses interest in a few months time!). No business modelling in other words, just "let's make money while we can".
Is she REALLY called Yana? I hear YANA, and I always think.... You Are Not Alone :-\
