I find it frustrating that virtually all the building upgrades need hammers, I find I have and can get everything else but always get held up by lack of hammers.... So for those of you holding hammer gifts out there I'd be grateful. Always return gifts, even if that is a billboard.

Buy 4 for 20 city credits. I got all my suitcases in less than a week. Also try to place at least one of all the entertainment buildings.
 
I am so glad I found this forum! So many useful hints. I have been playing for 2 weeks now and I am a lvl 20 with a pop of 4800 and change. I decided after many posts to go ahead and grab that Leave Me Alone achievement now. I also bit the bullet and purchased the jewelry shop package (with real money for CC) one because I love making jewelry in real life but they seemed a good deal. Just stuck them in storage until I can afford to buy territory and necessary power supply. I have also decided once my pop is up to get the Waffle Cafe for the money making. Don't have enough pop to get it this 30%off sale so I will work on that for next sale.

So all of that has been learned just from the first 100 pages of this forum. I don't intend to make this game a "real money" pit, so the shop package was a one time thing. Are there any other suggestions or helpful tips you seasoned business folks can give a young'un like me?

I am from the south and I am a disabled mother of an 11 yr old child who is homeschooled, so I play all day every day lol.

I do have a question about the Eiffel Tower. If I don't finish by the end of the time can I finish after just not receive the safe reward? If not after the time is up can I destroy it?

It is impossible to complete if you are just starting out without spending a boatload of real cash. If I am to spend real money it's gonna be on fun buildings I like lol (ie-the jewelry shops package)

Yes, if you don't finish the Eiffel Tower within the time frame, you can still finish building it, you just won't receive the items in the safe. Just keep working towards it because it gives a lot of happiness when completed and is definitely worth it.

It is pretty difficult to finish it under the time frame, especially when you don't know what the upcoming task are. I'm not sure where you are at in the building process, but here is a list of all the tasks...

I am at the training worker portion so very early on in the quest chain with only 12 days left. I intend to finish and just give up the treasure at the end. But I am not going to start my port until I have everything I need to fulfill those quests. I have a print out from the Wiki page of what will be needed....

My family makes fun of me because I have a 5 subject notebook with pocket folders to keep track of everything. I will admit I am an achievement junkie lol. Comes from years of playing MMORPG's I guess.

Just want to thank you guys for the help I received a couple chisels as gifts still need 4 more :))

Also I have a question I keep upgrading my garage but still never seem to have enough trucks I have about 20 trucks and only 8 industrials buildings.. What gives?

You will always feel that way....no matter how many trucks I keep adding, I never feel like I have enough. Upgrading the garage is a constant battle, and it gets increasingly expensive as well!
