Big Business - game discussion

I hear you with your frustration on their customer service! With the tickets that I have had with them, in each instance I have had to repeat everything I state in my first message over and over multiple times. Not sure if it is a language barrier or something else?! But surely we are not sending them any eloquent prose to try to understand. Most are very basic questions. I even include screen shots with everything. Guess pictures don't help them either. I would send my message in pop-up book format if I could!

It is a language barrier combined with sheer incompetence. A bunch of random clueless hacks.

You prompted me to check my emails to see if I'd had any responses to my requests to GI yet. Lo and behold, there were two replies, one from Sophie, one from Yana. They both claimed - in identical language (ie. a cut and paste response) that they had written to me on 3 December and that I had not been able to give them enough information about what my problem was. The text of the "3 December" response they included in their new replies, plus their statement today that they are about to mark my enquiry as Solved, were identical depsite being from different people.

(Problem #1 was the buy-4-get-1-free buildings offer we ALL complained about, problem #2 was a query as to why some buildings do not have an option for modules to be used on them. Pretty straightforward questions, I think, and I don't believe I'm particularly hard to follow...!)

I checked my trash, my spam, my junk mail, everything. NO replies have been received from GI in the interim, so it is a downright utter lie. They're worse than random, clueless hacks. This game is an absolute con and its producers are money robbing bar stewards (as my nan would have called them).

Another way you can see if they sent you any updates on your ticket is to check the ticket details on the GI website. The email should have a ticket number. Click on that and it will load all the communication that's taken place between you and the hacks.

But I totally agree with you - their responses are mostly scripted answers copied and pasted. It is obvious from reading some of their responses when they ask for details that I had already provided in the first message. It's almost like they don't expect to receive those details the first time around and by simply the ticket subject line they send out a canned reply for that type of an issue.

Oh joy. Just found it in my mailbox.

do you get city credits for big business if you bite on a new game? I am on track to get 2 gift shops. Is it worth it? I have a hard time passing on city credit buildings being offered for making products. Do you agree?

I just placed my gift shop. They want 450.000 for upgrading to level 2! That's a lot of coins :(

Yep. And 650K to level 3 and 750K to level 4. Which is not too bad compared to the price of upgrading heavy industry and warehouses. I have 5 level 10 warehouses and the next step is 4 million coins each upgrade.

Fat-fingered something? Changed your mind right after clicking? No worries, folks. Thanks to BB sloppy buggy design you might be able to fix it by clicking on your old turkey cafe. Your game will crash and after reloading your last actions prior to clicking would be canceled. Try it. {Summerville - Elloriana, lvl 69)
Yeah and you can fill ships then hit the old turkey buildings and have your items back to use again. You do lose the coins also, but the containers remain full.

Hey it's been a while and many many unread pages. I am surprised I haven't deleted this game yet but I am definitely not playing as much as before. Still filling ships so doing my part. What bothers me is I am starting to think some of my friends aren't real people. That would be par for the course if GI got fake accounts out there so you waste your time filling those ships so less can get cc. Also with over 600 friends it's hard to believe only a handful has completed there ship. Seems to me the exclamation marks are random selection of available. I have had friends that have disappeared and reappeared on that list with the same items needed including ones I have filled. Also there are some that have different items needed and always seems to be the ones I have available and I fill them and minutes later there they are again with a different set of needs of items I seem to have again. Maybe it's just coincidence but the way GI is I would not be a bit surprised of them trying to cheat us out of helping friends get free cc.

your game is cursed. Aren't you completely in the dark being in Alaska, i am thinking of the movie the Shining when it comes to you woes. LOL. Welcome back, did you lose your city last week?

Lol, I think this is a bit ambitious for me at level 32. I'm starting to wonder if I wouldn't be better off to invest in other factories at this point. I still need a furniture factory, oil refinary, toy factory, food plant etc and I'm having a hard time getting my happiness level up.
If I put this gift shop in storage, will they let me build a different factory?

You mean while your ship is still being loaded? That's nice, especially when they want you to load stuff like thickener to five ships in a row. I was slammed with aluminum, components and wires recently. Every ship needed them. For days.

What would happen if you hit the old turkey right after your ship sailed? I wonder. The only thing that matters in the whole port business is free credits. If you don't lose them, the Old Turkey glitch is the best thing after cottage cheese. I hope no one is complaining to GI about it. I don't want them to fix it.

They now include the items in storage when calculating a population requirement. I think you should build the regular factories before purchasing any premium shops. Otherwise you might not be able to get them because the req increases dramatically overtime.

Hi Mikey, long time no see. I am not playing much either, just filling containers. That's an interesting observation about fake accounts. Can you name anyone in particular?
I have about 540 friends too and only about 15-25 with question marks at a time. I just assumed that a lot of players quit or don't play regularly or don't have a port or manage to fill most ships themselves, which is not hard at all at level 60-70.

Absolutely not. Putting gift shop in storage means your happiness increases yet again for the next factory. It is hard to pass up a free building though.
