I agree, when I had the iPad 1 many people used to doubt that it was an iPad or not!!
Maybe I didn't make myself clear.
It isn't what others may think about whether it's a £50 Kindle or a £450 iPad. It's more that they always seem to feel the need to come over and ask. They never do that with a white one.

My iPad 1 and 2 are black and I've never had people ask whether either was a Kindle, especially a 50£ Kindle, as you suggested, lol.
People have asked about my Kindle, though. They've made Kindles in black and white. Mine is white.

Yep. My Kindle was white too. I hope the iPad 3 comes in nickel, stainless steel, or oil rub bronze.
