AppleInsider reports today that Bloomberg has just announced that it has updated its free iPad app, Bloomberg Anywhere. The update ushers in a brand new interface for the app, which is based on subscriber feedback. Also included in the update is access to Instant Bloomberg (IB), as well as revamped People and Charts sections, and Bloomberg Industries. Writing about the new update in the Bloomberg Blog, John Waanders says that mobile devices such as the iPad are increasingly the main means by which financial professionals access their information, with the iPad, in particular, proving to be ever more popular with the financial professionals that use Bloomberg. “We have seen - over the past three years - the number of subscribers accessing our platform on a mobile device double,†Waanders noted in his blog post. “And more than half access the platform via multiple devices.†And in a separate article on the newly updated app, paidContent says that a little over 10% of Bloomberg’s worldwide audience of 313,000 subscribers use its iPad app. [/FONT]
