Bluetooth problems

After more than two years of having Bluetooth on my iPad 7th Gen. to connect to my hearing aides, all of a sudden it won't connect,
I did a hard re-boot, nothing. I had already told it to forget the device, that didn't work and now that isn't even available. Any suggestions?

Could the batteries in the hearing aids have died?

Could the batteries in the hearing aids have died?

No, I just changed them two days ago. They last about a week,

Check you hearing aid instructions to make sure they are in discovery mode before you go to the iPad's Bluetooth settings. That's all I can think of.
