Book synopsis for purhased books

Is there any way to see the synopsis for a book which is currently in the Ibook library? I mean without going into the Ibook store, searching for the book and seeing the synopsis there. Thanks.

I'm afraid not. You'll have to go to the iBook Store to see a synopsis of books available in the store.

I figured that was the case. Couldn't find any way other than that. Seems unbelievable because the on the Nook Color I had 5 years ago all I had to do was touch and hold on any book in my library to get the synopsis and information for the book.
