Newbie question!

I have downloaded the ibooks app. I have even purchased a book. Now, when I go to ibooks and see the book I bought, I click the button STORE. I see a search box. I type in a book or author, click search and NOTHING HAPPENS?
What am I doing wrong?
Also, can I buy a book from Amazon for Kindle and read it on an ipad?

To see the book you bought, don't tap "Store", but "Collections", and then "Books". When you see the book, tap it and it opens.

In Store, you're directed to the Library and should be able to search and buy books. If your wifi/3G is slow/ you have a weak signal, the Store will need time to show what you're searching for.

You can buy books from Amazon, there is a Kindle app for the iPad, and it's free.
