Brain teasers

I have a suspicion that TheRambler's guess is incorrect. That, or I'm completely clueless about what those clues mean. Also possible. ;)

Absolutely right.

He's right. Just a bit of a British thing :)

The answer to clue 1 "Farmers do it with seed..". Is what? A single word is enough.

Rambler gave you the answer to clue 2. The Clue was given in charades style :)

Ok, I'll buy it. The second clue makes sense now. The main reason I did not get it was I remembered the song tittle wrong. I thought it was "Man on the Run" That and you said first and last parts of the word, not phrase. I came up with Ma + th (Math) which seemed plausible, if not enlightening.

I'm still have no idea what the first clue is about. Plant? Grow? Burry? Buy? I'm probably just not guessing the right word.

Not that I'd have ever got the answer, clues or not. It's a bit more than a bit British I suspect. :)

My apologies to The Rambler for doubting him. :D

I'm confused on the first clue too, I read it as scatter, but I can't quite figure out the relevance......but then again, I can be a bit thick at times!

That's the clue I needed. The answer was probably spread, which would be another term for bandwidth (sort of). Scatter is also a radio term, but seems less relevant.

Thanks. Now I can stop thinking about it. :D

Hmm, is it so that it can't drop into the manhole (no matter how you twist and turn it, it is always bigger than the frame seat)?

The Archangel

I've never even thought of manholes and a reason why it's round. Certainly makes sense though, those things are so damn heavy.
