Broken ipad screen

So, I bumped my iPad on the smart cover stand, it tipped forward and hit the table and now there's a crack right across the corner of the screen. Will the apple store help me out or charge me a tonne?

Sorry to hear about your iPad.

Your best bet is to make an appointment with an Apple Genius to see what they can do. They should be able to give you a quote for repair or discusses options of purchasing a new one, etc.
