My wife has had a iPad3, I just got her a new Mini 2 I synced everything over to the Mini via cloud, all went well with that, everything transferred over fine. My problem is, I can't get the iPad or the Mini calenders to sync new entries. I tried push, fetch and what ever else under calender I could think of before coming here. When she makes a new entry in her iPad 3 calender it does show up on my Outlook calender on my PC, same as always, but not on the Mini. When she makes a entry on the Mini calender it does not show up on the iPad calender or my outlook calender. I am using the wi-fi for both, also tried VZ. Apple ID is the same on both. Each one has a different phone number.

iPad (3rd gen) Wi-Fi + Cellular (VZ), iOS 6.0.1

Mini-2
Wi-Fi + Cellular (VZ), iOS 8.0.1

Thanks Gary

Well SC, still can't get the calender to sync with each other. updated the iPad to 8.1.2. same Mimi-2 read and reread everything, call apple support, was on the phone for about an hour going over all the settings, maybe something went wrong during the syncing, when I sycned Mini to my iPad. Thank you for everything. I'll get it sooner or later, it is important though, my wife used calender all the time and really need then to sync.

Here's a link that might help:

When you set up the account on the iPad, did you use this:

I set up my Ipad3 this way when I first got it, and then used icloud to sync everything over to new Mini. everything else I have tried is working, It's just when I create a new event in the calender. It will not sync with my iPad or outlook calender.

My iPad 3 syncs fine with outlook calender, and visa versa.

Thanks

No, I did not need to, I down loaded Outlook like that on my iPad, thus it was there when I down loaded everything from my iPad using icloud. Also I cant get Mini2 to sync to my iPad either. Outlook.com email is working fine on Mini

This means you used a backup of your device to restore on hers?

Make sure Calendar is enabled in Settings - Mail, Contacts, Calendars - the Outlook account.

And if it is:
Remove the account from her iPad and reinstall it.

Make that "Outlook.com"

Remove from the Mini right. You are talking about the Outlook.com account

I have to ask, how does this help me get the events that I put into the calender on the Mini sync to the calender on the Ipad3? I am asking so I understand what I am doing and why, not questioning your expertise...

There's obviously something in the setup that's not working as expected, and we couldn't find it so far. Deleting the account and reinstalling it (using Outlook.com) could remove this glitch.
Emails, calendar events , notes, ... shouldn't be stored on her iPad, but on Windows' servers. To make sure everything is there, login to outlook.com through a browser. You can also do it on your or her iPad in Safari.
Then delete the account in the iPad's settings and reinstall it.
