i accidentally deleted a bunch of texts from one person on my iPhone. Is there anyway to restore them from my iPad so I don't have to do a full phone restore?

I'm afraid that there's no way to recover those deleted texts except by restoring from a backup. If you have an iPhone backup that contains the deleted texts, you can restore from that backup.
