Can't connect to app store

I have the new iPad & a 4s and when I try to update the apps or even get new ones it says cannot connect to iTunes Store. It only does it when I'm on wifi if I turn off wifi and use my own data it works fine. My husband who also has a 4s has no problem updating apps on a wifi, we've compared all our settings with no luck . Anybody know how to fix this?

Can you surf the net on your ipad and iphone? As it sounds like the router is blocking the connection. For example, with my router the device has to be registered otherwise no access at all

Yes I can serf the web I just can,t connect to iTunes I tried turning devices off & back on with no luck, any ideas?
