Can’t delete file because it doesn’t exist. Restarting iPad doesn’t clear this issue.

Any suggestions how to convince the iPad either that the file is there, and to please delete it, or, if the file really is gone, to please stop displaying the file in the files folder.

Assuming the rogue file is in a folder, can you move everything else out of that folder; delete the folder with rogue file inside, and then make another folder with the same name?
