Hi Doris - welcome to the forum! I'm not sure if you want to add a 'caption' to the photo or as a separate addition - will make a difference? I have several apps on my iPad that would work, but let me just give you one option to see if it accomplishes your goal There is a popular app called Skitch which can be used actively to capture images and add labels/text/etc. but also can be use to add a variety of 'items' including text to images later - just as an example is an image from a trip I took to WV Beach, NC last fall - I easily added (and saved) the image as shown - SO, let us know if that might be your goal, otherwise other recommendations can be made - Dave

Gosh, I just now found your reply to my 'caption'quiery of 02/28/14 .i have trouble finding my way around things on my iPad3.yes, the way you put the info on your WVbeach is exactly what I wish to do. I have the photos in my photo stream and can put them on an email But have no idea how to do a label or caption.

Hi Doris - forgot about this post so glad that you replied - easy to keep up w/ your threads/post by using 'Quick Links' in the top menu selections (i.e. on a regular computer and usually just are listed on the iPad app) - BUT, goto the App Store on your device and type in 'Skitch' - download and start to add captions to your photos - quite easy to learn; now there are other options but this app is simple to use; below just another image from WV Beach w/ a caption easily added - Dave
