Charging in Car with a Silvercrest Lighter USB charger

Hello Forum members!

The wife have tried to charge the mini with a USB lighter car charger and now the mini wont start again? :thumbsdown:

The way that i see it the USB cable that followed the Mini should be able to be plug into any USB slot right?

Hi, welcome to iPF!

That's right. The cable of your iPad mini can be plugged into any USB slot. Question is, if will charge at all.

If it's charging, it will work the same way as with a pc. It may show "Not charging", it could charge, but very slowly. If you use a car charger for her device, make sure that it produces 2.1 amps, or at least 1.0, which will charge it 1/2 as fast.

If you still have the description of it, take a look at the listed devices. Maybe iPad or iPhone are not even mentioned there.
