Combining 2 itune accounts?

Being a newbie with his and hers IPads , My wife set up her apple ID different to mine which we've used for the past several years with our IPods. When she set up her account, she put a $50 gift card amount onto her account. I think you can see where I'm going. We want to share some of the purchased music and apps so I want to continue using just one ID for iTunes. Is there any way to transfer that $50 from her account to mine? I have her iCloud account hooked up to her ID so that end of being separate is covered. Any suggestions would. E greatly appreciated! Thanks!
