this is use an update to apps that have existed for some time now. I think its great to see these type of apps but I also think these types of apps are expected. They are cheap for the company to make and very useful to there subscribers.
The thing is I see cable companies in the future going away and internet show type box's taking their place. You want to watch a show, you watch it when ever you want.
