Connecting Ipad 2 to TV.

Hello, I'm new to the forum and only signed up to get an answer to this. I currently have a Samsung Smart TV and an Ipad 2. I want to connect them together to watch what's on my ipad, on my TV.

What ways can I do this? I searched on Google and found this wire:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/30-Pin-Do...r-for-iPad-1-2-3-iPhone-4s-iPoD-/171527580553

Would this work for what I'm trying to achieve? I also don't want to be spending a lot, so something like the above would be ideal.

I would appreciate any other advice on my situation.

Thanks

I don't know if the one you found will work. There are two other options for the iPad 2.

You'll need a HDMI cable for this to connect it to the TV. I've used this cable and connector for a while, so I know it will work without problems.

Here's the other one you can use, if it's possible with your TV:

Hope that helps.

An Apple TV should also work, should you want to go the wireless route.

(not actually a TV, just a box that you hook up to your TV and local wi-fi network.

Thanks for the help. Considering getting the wire but before I do, is there any way to connect them together (wireless) with my TV being a smart TV? Don't know much about smart TVs so if someone could explain, that would be great.

The only way for a wireless connection between your iPad and TV is the Apple TV mentioned by twerppoet in the post just before yours.
