Connecting to server

I'm a mac user, who uses "connect to server" to bring cloud computing to my mac. I can access my iDisc acct through Docs to Go, but now I want Docs to Go, Numbers or Pages to access my other server. On my mac this would be afp://my_server

How do I reach out to my server through the IOS and an app?

I have moved this to the Help section, where I think it will receive better attention but, as far as I am aware, you cannot connect to your other server from within an app, such as Pages.
