AppleInsider reports that the City of Cupertino has just posted a whole host of documents, plans and stunning renderings from Apple’s bid to build a 2.8 million square-foot campus in Cupertino. The amazing-looking building has already been dubbed “The Spaceshipâ€, because it looks like one, of course! Going by these plans, the structure, when completed, is going to be simply awe-inspiring. Cupertino Council is in the middle of reviewing the plans, and according to AppleInsider, is currently assessing the environmental impact that might be caused by the building, including the effects on traffic, noise, and air quality. The newly released plans reveal many fascinating facts about the building, which will be called “Apple Campus 2â€. For example, according to AppleInsider, it will be four stories high, and will feature a Corporate Auditorium with capacity to seat 1,000 people, as well as new Research Facilities spread out over 300,000 square feet. The building is intended to support a workforce of up to 13,000 employees, and will possibly have its own on-site Central Plant to save draining the city’s electricity power grid.
