Delete history in safari

How to delete history in safari? There's only bookmark bar on the menu. Pls help

When you tap the "open book" icon it should say "Bookmarks" on the left and "Clear History" on the right no?

You can also clear history by going to Settings > Safari.

Neither of these methods clear the suggestions you get in the URL field when typing. There is no way to clear that.

I have no " clear history". Mine has "edit" on the right.

After you open the bookmarks, go back to the root directory by tapping the left option until there is none. Now select the History folder. You should now have a Clear History option.

You CAN clear the suggestions too...go to settings/safari and then clear cache, cookies, history. Also have to cycle machine off with the button on the side of the machine...not the master button on front
