deleting URL history in Safari...

I checked prior to posting. Only thing I can think of is that I have Safari turned off in iCloud.

I have it turned on, so not that.

I was careful to test with a url I knew was not in my bookmarks.

Well, anyone who has any bright ideas can pitch in here if they want.

Clearly it works, for Twerppoet and myself at least, and I've since checked it out on my iPhone to be doubly sure. It worked on there too.

There has to be a setting somewhere that's gone wrong. We can rule out iCloud for certain.

Any ideas, people?
