deleting searches

Hello all, I am new to this list.

My question is, how do you delete the list of 'searches' you have made in Safari? I recently upgraded from my iPad 1 to a 4. I have been using the search section to find information about new apps. Now that I have what I needed. I don't want my past search window full of items that I do not need. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

In settings select Safari then on the right side tap the clear history button
