Do I have to use Safari or can I use firefox or another browser?

There isn't a version of Firefox for the iPad, but there are many alternate browsers available in the iPad App Store, such as iSwifter, iCab, Puffin, Opera and so on. Use the Search button at this Forum to see Members' comments on these and other browsers. The only restriction is that Safari will always be the default browser on a non-jailbroken iPad.

My favorite alt to safari is ichromy. It is someone's attempt to make a chrome like browser on the iPad and they did a pretty good job. Oh and it is free.
