Dragon Quest IV Out Now

MacRumors reports today that Square Enix’s classic RPG Dragon Quest IV has arrived in the App Store for iOS devices. Among RPG aficionados, the Dragon Quest games are considered up there with the very best, and they are particularly challenging and unforgiving to play. There are no short cuts in Dragon Quest games!

Dragon Quest IV was originally released 10 years ago, and sees the player taking on the role of five different characters across five different chapters. This latest release will include a bonus 6th chapter, as well as a bonus dungeon.

Gameplay is turn-based, and has been optimised for iOS devices. Here are some of the game’s key features, courtesy of Square Enix:
