jayredc said:Gone through 300 collected gems in the last 2 days and my results are 2 clovers 1 leap year 3 rainbows (1 inside my nursery) 1 sun and my gc and bi are both with 48 hour dragons. Excited. Hahaha, I think that was a pretty good way to waste them.
Feel free to visit my island and gift gems if you like.

Happy to say have 7 hour in the ebi. Had 3 long breeds by other miss flower mixes at equal levels first though.

GT500Girl said:Of course! I'm still there. Just tried level 7's moss/seaweed. 6 hrs. Well it's closer than I have been I guess. They have either been poison, flower or 12 and 14 hrs. And to think I thought I hated lavas....these 14 hrs are worse! Lol
With reference to Poppy s statement (not gonna quote that long msg lol), it goes if course from the assumption you have at least one sylver shrine of the elements covered by the panlong dragon (this for those who are not yet at that point in the game).
If you have only limited accessibility to your game, the multiple LYD dragons makes sense but for many gamers, that means to sacrifie habitats. And for those who have built their islands on the various habitats and nice design, that is the end of that aspect of the game. Sacrifizing "art and fun" to jump into a stakhanovite system.
What we absolutely need is more habitats and space.
iBunda said:I think Poppy is right 'bout 7 theory. I try seaweed and Moss lv 7 and I got Clover first try (My gems also 7 at that time ) Thx for the tips. One more clover than back to level up my shrine... I know to get faster and more money we should put a lot of rare Dragon and panlong in earth habitat. But I have to admit it's kind of hard to delete other habitat

Birdmaestro said:The Turbo Tortoises: Leap Year Dragons as Coin Producers
With a limit of $1,000,000 and a production rate of $400/minute, Rainbows are great gold coin generators. However, there's that 48/48 breeding and hatching time to get started. With a 15.5/15.5 breeding and hatching time, the new Leap Year Dragons offer a nice alternative and are a nice complement to the Panlong gold coin production approach (the Chinese Gold Coin Factory - GGCF). Here's the math:
Assumptions & Basic Data
- You have 2 Leap Year Dragons
- No gems used to accelerate process
- 3 leveln15 Panlongs in a fully optimized Earth environment produce 411 coins/minute
- 1 Level 10 Leap Year Dragon produces 400 coins/minute *
- Optimal return from Pans requires hourly sweeps
- Optimal return from LYD's requires sweeps every 41 hours
- Level 15 Pans have the potential to produce $1,775,520 in a 24 hour period
- A level 10 LYD has the potential to produce $576,00 in a 24 hour period
Conclusion
It all depends on how frequently you sweep for coins.
Nothing currently rivals an Earth habitat with 3 fully optimized level 15 Pans (except 3 level 15+ Pans, but that's not realistic for most of us). But it requires that you sweep hourly, which is also not realistic for most of us (you would have to be recovering from major surgery or somesuch to even come close).
LYD's produce at a lower rate but it's realistic to assume that you will be able to sweep frequently enough to capture the full potential of $576,00 a day.
What we need to calculate is the crossover point: how frequently do you need to sweep for coins with Pans in order for them to out-produce Goldie's?
- Pan hourly production: $73,980/hour
- Leap Year Dragon hourly production: $24,000/hour
- $73,980/ $24,000 = 3.1 hours
So if your interval between sweeps is more than 3.1 hours, the LYD's deliver a higher payoff. They keep chugging along after the Pans hit a wall and stop. Turbo Tortoises to the Pan's Hare.
The key for me has been to observe how frequently I sweep for coins and to set a mix of Pans and rares that fits that frequency.

* That's a little bit apples and oranges compared to the higher investment required to get the Pans to level 15, but I've set it aside in order to keep things simple.
