I got two reindeers in a row using snow and seaweed. First and second try
I have the breeding island and first go tried mud and storm again and got my second moon. So I do think it makes a difference. I've been trying for a second moon for weeks.

I've completed the plant shrine, have to save up more food now though!

Very happy with the new update, though I'm a bit annoyed at no extra habitats

The breeding island seems cool and the new crops as well. But orbs? Im no developer but i hope they can do better tahn orbs.. Make them glow? A better roar? Animation that makes them destroy their habitat? A halo could have been better than a circle on their head.. And yes habitats please.. Either an upgrade or a whole new one.. One that all dragon can stay in might be cool.. Or a nursery where you canput a lot of level 1 dragons..

But thats just me

Can someone tell me how to upgrade my farms to the new updated farm?

I believe they are under buildings. Also I think if you have no food being harvested at the time just click on it and the option is there to upgrade if I remember right.

I decided to use my original breeding cave to try to get another sun. Using the same pair/combo as the first sun..scorch left snow right I got another 48 hrs. on the 3rd try! Yay! I'm wondering if it will be sun or moon this time. I'm still working on the moon in the epic breeding island...9th try now so I'm thinking that epic island isn't any quicker for rares. Atleast not for me so far. I'm happy that I'm finally joining the "luckies" though lol

I used blue fire and plant to get the deer.... Hope this helps.

Hi all, just wanted to introduce myself as I'm newly registered (have been lurking for a little while though).
I actually signed up specifically to join this thread, hehe. I don't actually have an iPad but I play dragonvale on my new iPhone (which is my first smartphone and I love it!).

Started playing dragonvale in October but missed out on the bone dragon because I didn't realise it was a limited edition when I updated. So just before this most recent update I made sure I read up on all the changes first to ensure I didn't lose anything else!
I've got all the dragons available now except, Sandstorm, Moon, Rainbow and Reindeer but am working on the reindeer now (no luck yet).
I got my Sun dragon with Bluefire x Crystal after initially giving up on that combo, going to Storm x Sonic, giving up on that and going back to Bluefire x Crystal and got it first try! No 'rare' luck since though.
I'm debating spending real $ to get the new breeding island but not sure yet if I will - I hate to spend money on a virtual world but man, this game is addictive, hehe.

Hoping to make friends and get advice. Thanks for all the help so far too!!!

Yep...and with my usual luck since I need a moon it'll be a sun lol. Oh well I guess. I need something to keep me busy til we get another good update like this one.
