Dragonvale Tips & Tricks! (NO Friend Requests!)

Hi all, just wanted to introduce myself as I'm newly registered (have been lurking for a little while though).
I actually signed up specifically to join this thread, hehe. I don't actually have an iPad but I play dragonvale on my new iPhone (which is my first smartphone and I love it!).

Started playing dragonvale in October but missed out on the bone dragon because I didn't realise it was a limited edition when I updated. So just before this most recent update I made sure I read up on all the changes first to ensure I didn't lose anything else!
I've got all the dragons available now except, Sandstorm, Moon, Rainbow and Reindeer but am working on the reindeer now (no luck yet).
I got my Sun dragon with Bluefire x Crystal after initially giving up on that combo, going to Storm x Sonic, giving up on that and going back to Bluefire x Crystal and got it first try! No 'rare' luck since though.
I'm debating spending real $ to get the new breeding island but not sure yet if I will - I hate to spend money on a virtual world but man, this game is addictive, hehe.

Hoping to make friends and get advice. Thanks for all the help so far too!!!

I just saw your post about needing a moon but maybe getting another sun and it reminded me that when I first started trying for a rare I was hoping mostly for a Moon or Rainbow but, obviously, got Sun instead. Not that I'm complaining about getting a sun though, hehe. I have no doubt I'll get a duplicate rare before getting the 'big 3'.

Attention everyone having problems adding Brooklyn. His name on the forums is Brooklyn11220. His name on game center is Brooklyn 11220. Notice the space in the game center ID. You must add the space, or you will add the wrong person. Hope this stops the confusion and the trouble

too bad we can't gift dragons, if we could I can send it to everyone that missed the chance

Well friend I used bone+storm and got my sun but remember there are more combos to use , I hope it works for you and if not let me know

What's being jailbroken got to do with this game? Sorry if I seem ignorant but I've been jailbroken on my various iPhones since they first came out and it's never made any difference to games I play.
I haven't got round to jail breaking my latest iPhone. Will it affect DV in some way?

I dont have the Bone Dragon either, I got my Sun dragon with Bluefire x Crystal.
Have also seen these combinations mentioned previously on this thread:
Quake x Storm
Scorch x Snow (among others!)

My winning combos were...

Firefly + Seaweed = Rainbow
Blazing + Crystal = 2nd Rainbow
Mud + Air = Sandstorm
Blue Fire + Crystal = Sun
Mud + Storm = 2 Moons

Yeah, I could be mistaken but I think someone can only get MORE bone dragons if they already got it when it was officially available (unless they haven't updated their game etc).

I didn't try for it when it was available because I had only just started playing and didn't realise it was a limited edition; I was busy getting other stuff/breeding the cuter dragons, haha.
