Yeh, it was a really good idea. I might do that too with my signature so I don't have to keep typing it. Lol! You are too funny. My 1st island looked like a toddler had been playing last night too. I kind of fixed it a bit after moving things and will continue to work on them when I get a little time. I'll take a look at your island that you completed when I log back into DV. It is so much work and the more stuff you put on there...well. What a nightmare. I've been having to sell things because I can't move things around with no room. Yeh, I'm not getting anything done either. I need to take a break and get some laundry done. I can imagine with you and the kids though...my grand daughter is here now and delaying me every couple words lol

Lol yeh, I know what you mean about the coins...looks like were gonna need a whole bunch of them and food to complete the shrines. That's why I'm just trying to finish the dragons that I want and rack up as much of two as I can for now.

The glitch was awesome but sadly there has been no repeats . Ah well, as per the original plan - I've got my list all set up and I'll just keep returning ones I receive in that order. Cant do any more than that right?!
Thankfully I had to sell very little in my major island re-shuffle but I did almost completely wreck all 3 islands before slowly reorganising/rebuilding! LOL

I am EVER SO GLAD my major work is done now. I will probably still make small changes her and there if I get bored or inspired...in fact there is already a few little things I'd love to try but just not sure I can face the moving just yet, hehe.

I'm mostly just going to keep working on my rares too, the shrine stuff isnt so important to me, especially yet.

Anyone notice when you click on moon habitat for the hat he does a backflip? Lol It's so cute. I also noticed when doing that with reindeer they seem to stand at attention or something hahaha

Oh I didnt notice that! I will have to pay better attention on my next park visit, hehe.

I wonder if it's a 24 hr thing with the hats like gems and maybe I did it about the same time yesterday and those that didn't have any yet just hadn't hit the 24 hrs yet...

Yeah I do think the party hats are a 24 hour thing as well...at least it seems so from what I can work out.

I just got another 48 hrs! *squee* I cannot believe it! Original breeding cave again with scorch on left and snow on right. This time it came on the 4th try! This exact pair/combo has now given me 48 hrs 3 times! First time was sun on 13th try. Second was moon on 3rd try. And this new one on the 4th try...how can this be? This cannot be happening! Lol Wonder what it will be...

I've been trying Scorch x Snow in my epic cave and Mud x Storm in my standard cave but no luck so far...ah well, will keep on keeping on...

How can you do it by only levelling up the ones you'll keep...I mean I'd love to do it that way but where would you put them all? Surely you'd have to sell some off (and feel bad, as below, heh)



Yes! I feel the same way! Even before the shrines I didnt keep every dragon anyway, so I hadnt even 'wasted the money' feeding them up and I STILL felt bad!

Michelle, I was talking about leveling up above 10. Sorry I didn't make that clear.

For example, once you have the silver plant shrine, only level up the dragons with the plant element that you know for sure you won't sell if you breed a replacements. In my case, I have 3 flowers and so I saved one as a trader and leveled the other two up to 13 or 14 for now.Same for 2 of my 3 swamp dragons. At some point, when I work on the air shrine, I might get another willow, so I leave that alone for now at lvl 10.

OMG!!! Congratulations to YOU!! I'm going to go off and eat worms now coz it's obviously just my DragonVale that is horrible and doesn't like me.

Bwahaha, I soooo feel this way sometimes (quite often lately actually, heh). You'd think my Sun and Reindeer would have helped make me more patient but apparently it's just whetted my 'appetite' for rares!!

I thought it might have been my imagination the first time I saw it for the second time (hehe) but couldn't be bothered searching to see. Then the third time it happened I knew I was not imagining it. I guess someone gets a laugh out of it and enjoys reading the messages we post about them. So, for the 'special' person posting the messages - seriously, is this the most productive thing you can come up with to do in your day?? Go volunteer somewhere or get a job!

Hey all, as GT500Girl has discovered, the dragons actually react as you collect coins from the party hats when visiting your friends...
Not only have I seen the Moon backflip (ADORABLE!) but I've also noticed -

Firefly bounces on its tail
Sonic also backflips
Various walking Earth habitat dwellers all 'shimmy' on the spot together
Scorch also stands up, like the Reindeer
Storm throws it's head back a couple of times as it flies
Earthquake rocks back and forth banging it's tail

I love it! Just another cute suprise it seems most of us overlooked until now...thanks again GT500Girl!!! :thumbs:

Because Cold and Fire are opposite elements which is not possible.

I assume you want to breed a Bluefire dragon? If so, you'll need to choose at least one dragon that is a hybrid.

E.g., Cold x Scorch (Fire/Lightning) or Fire x Ice (Cold/water)

You're very welcome. Just remember it is not a definite that'll you get a Bluefire from either of those combos (some dragons are just much harder to get and rely on a certain amount of luck) and I'm not really sure if there are any better combinations to choose either (there very well could be. Maybe someone else might have a better suggestion?). I wish you luck though!

Breeding poison for about 3 hours now so boring.. Hope its worth it..

Next. Plan is to breed moutain for cold and earth combo when i hit 21.. Any sugestions how to make it faster?

It just hit me thats why there are 2 breeding grounds one supposedly for the shrine then the epic for rare ones.. But then you guys know this already.. And im justbwhining cuz i need 95 more gems.. Lol..

Okay, first, on the super-duper breeding island I used sonic+storm and got a 48 and thought "cool". I then popped over to my ordinary, every day cave and used bluefire+crystal and got a second 48 and almost fainted! My husband's reaction (as I was yelling "look what I did) was "yawn" "that's nice dear". Oh well, at least you all appreciate it.

Sorry, I have nothing to add to your post but I'm replying because I didn't want you to think I was ignoring you *grin*
I just havent done much towards the shrines yet as I'm mostly concentrating on getting rares first. I'm pretty sure there are others who will be able to discuss it better when they are around.
