I am really happy about the new update! It seems that the devs have really listened to all the players about what they want!

Off topic but I need help. Game centre was having problems and when I loaded the update, it came up saying...do you want your game centre account or your locally stored park. Which one should I choose? I didn't know I had 2 stored! Would the locally stored one be the most recent one?

Did anyone else get the update yet?! Gemstone island can now be upgraded to hold five dragons each habitat!! I'm glad I've kept previous gem dragons from before my island now displays all 19 of my gem dragons!! I wasn't expecting that !
It's 25 for first upgrade and 50 gems for second upgrade for each gem habitat!

They also added treasures at the end of the race track! And I believe they've fixed the "and others" issue some of you are having when receiving gems!

They also mentioned bonus habitats!
They outdid themselves this time at backflip studios but, really.. When don't they right? They know how to keep us addicts happy lol

The new update is awesome....love it. Thanks BF. For now, I've only upgraded one section of my gemstone island. I've taken my second pearl out of the hibernation cave above the jade simply because of its earning capacity!

Olds will be happy with the new gemstone display from friends...no more creative poems needed as they have fixed it!

I had the same problem and it happens every time I click the top of my screen (when playing dragonvale) where it lists the forum has new Posts. When I click on the new forum posts and I go out of dragonvale it brings up that very same message when I want to re enter.

Go to your iTunes account and log in or your game centre account and log in. When the game throws you out like that it requires your password.

I got it fixed! Apparently, you have to sync the local and game centre info by logging into dragonvale thru game centre instead of thru the app, then choose " game centre" when the option is presented. Thanks!

This is how the gem island looks like after all the upgrade, it will cost a total of 300gems, can put 5 gem dragon each gem habitat, so if you have 5 level10 gem dragon in one habitat, it will produce 1 gem every 1day9hrs, so i estimate it will take 103days to break even.

Too true, but then again, kinda of knew that was going to happen with the gemstone island. As for the extra habitats costing gems, I didn't see that one coming!

Thank you! I noticed that shortly after I asked. I've already updated 3 of my gem habitats, but not the max habitats because I may need some to do some rearranging to fit more.
On a side note I got a jade dragon from the same combo in my cave as I got the summer dragon the other day.

OMG....I just got a Double Rainbow on my island!! I used Rose and River, both level 15. Wow, such a long wait before I get to hatch it, but still so excited!!



Congrats!! I'll try that combo next, see what might happen. Still no double rainbow for me!

Not sure about this...going to the "gift" section has crashed my game three times already. Did upgrade one gem habitat to put out my Jade.



Don't tick your gifts too fast. Take your time accepting the gifts... That worked for me!

I do get it, that we have to use gems to get the updates, but doubling the number of gems to 50 for the final upgrade does not feel right somehow. I mean, that is a lot of gems! I could afford to upgrade my islands once though. But I need more time to receive gems from my wonderful friends to get the final upgrade.

I decided to upgrade my gemstone island 4 x 25 gems. For now I'm happy with that, as I was able to bring four gemstone dragons out of my hibernation cave, leaving two more remaining in there.

It's funny because I've been saving my gems in readiness for this update, but I'm still not ready to use an extra 200 to upgrade to the final stage!

I'm working on breeding my double rainbow and rainbow so that I can convert one of my islands dedicated to rainbows, and putting the leap years on that island into my hibernation cave. Makes sense as I already have one island dedicated to just leap year. Good to work towards something than just breeding rust dragons for treats.

Again, love the update.
