Dragonvale Tips & Tricks! (NO Friend Requests!)

Those of you who haven't succeeded in breeding on of the special dragons yet, don't give up!

It seemed like I had been trying forever to breed a rainbow or sandstorm and was getting really discouraged especially after getting 4 crystals with their 24 hour breeding/incubation times so I was really happy when the moon and sun dragons came out, because now I had something new to try for. I decided to stay away from the bluefire/crystal combo because of my previous endeavors, I didn't want to end up with another crystal, so I tried the sonic/storm combo 4 times and got ice and snow dragons. :-( I then decided to risk the bluefire/crystal combo and go a firefly and 2 scorches but all 3 only had a 3 hour breeding time, then on my fourth try I got the 48 hour breeding time! I don't know if it will be a rainbow, sun or moon but I'm thrilled to have gotten a special dragon at last.

looks like i will be trying the bluefire/crystal
btw do those dragons of yours come from already hybrid ones. I mean the bluefire must be, but how about the crystal is it bred from just earth and lightning or from a combination?
 
The bluefire I got from ice/fire and was lucky with that one, I got it on the second try.

The crystals I kept getting when trying for the sandstorm with the air/mud and air/quake combos. I still don't have a sandstorm but I'm really reluctant to try again after all those crystals which came almost one after the other.
 
You know I'm seriously thinking they need to develop a "Trade eggs with your friends" Feature. Then most of the eggs wouldn't go to waste as just being sold when you already have a butt load of money. Even with dragons maybe. Dunno something!

As you can see from the posts above, brooklyn11220 got a rainbow from blue and crystal and I just got a sun that I thought would probably be a moon. doh!

Hahahaha I'm all ready to that point. I probably tried firefly and seaweed 50 times. Then I give up and try bluefire and crystal. I probably should of kept going. Probably would of got it if I tried one more time. :(

Thanks for the encouragements and congrats on your 48 hr incubation! It sure is frustrating. I love to hate this game. Hahaha

I tried breeding a lot for the special dragons - Bone, Sandstorm, Bluefire & Rainbow.. Initially i got the Bone after a few tries.. But couldn't get any other.. Tried for a sand storm a lot, getting frustated now.. Then finally collected 100 gems from friends (thanks guys) and bought a blue fire (eager to get a special dragon).. Will breed the bluefire/crystal combination.. hopefully, will get a special dragon - rainbow, sun or moon..
Can anyone tell me how long does it take to build a sun and a moon habitat??

I have all the dragons as well. Tried for my second rainbow and got another sun and moon. That makes 2 moon and 3 sun so far. I just want my second rainbow!!! Lol

How to get higher level is easy, just plant a lot of food you can get XP from that, feeding Dragon and win in collosium also help for increasing your XP but when you get level 20, by far that the higher level so your xp wont increase no matter what you did. All player in level 20 right now waiting for DV update hoping for New Island, adding habitat and added format like "Gift Friend eggs" or even Toss the Egg hahahaha... I'm lv 20 but still trying to get Rainbow lol
