So for those of you that have had lots of luck breeding the special dragons, wondering if you've spent a lot of money on gems. I have had no luck and trying to determine what could be a factor. Amount of money spent? Number of visitors? Any ideas other than boosts.

I only buy gems when I receive a breeding time of 48 hours. Then I buy a pack to speed things up so I can breed again.

Finally after over 60 attempts to breed a Blue Fire Dragon I have it, now on to the Sun, Moon & Rainbow

I have a question, mostly aimed at Brooklyn because we're about the same.

I have every dragon, including 3 rainbows sums and moons. I still don't have the double rainbow achievement or the every last one achievement. Does anyone have any insight to why that is? I'm fairly certain that there's no other secret dragons, so why don't I have it? And why don't I have the double rainbow even though I have 2 level 10s and one egg incubating?

I am having the same problem, I have two rainbows but no achievement.

I only bought gems once and that was when I downloaded the game and decided i was going to play it. It's my way of contributing something to the developers and helping out to keep a good game on the market. I have not bought any gems since.

I have cold and earth boosts on the same island as my breeding cave and hatchery. I've placed things on my islands to make them pleasing to look at (in my opinion) and not for any strategic reason.

I have a Bluefire, Bone, hatched a moon today and got another 48 hour breeding time started this evening in my breeding cave, so I have no idea what it's going to be. My two 48 hour eggs are from Bluefire and Crystal although I have tried Firefly and Seaweed till I'm blue in the face. Hope I get a sun or rainbow, fingers crossed.

All that to say I don't think buying gems or the way you place things on your islands has much impact. Good luck breeding everyone, don't give up things happen when you least expect it.

I have 3 gifts to give away today and friends in GC who are playing DV. The game will not allow me to send the gifts. I go to social and it just tells me that I still have gifts to give today. How do I send gifts to friends?

Thank you, have returned the favour. Looking at your island reminded me of what it was like when I first started and couldn't grow food fast enough to feed my dragons. Now I have 500K of food sitting there and nothing to feed. Wish I could share.

I've bought about AU$20 of gems but, other than the bone dragon that I didn't want to miss, I have only used gems to speed up breeding and incubating. Got a $20 iTunes giftcard so didn't mind spending so much. The game keeps me entertained so the developers deserve something.

Finally got 2 hours breeding time for my sandstorm! I used air+moss that didn't work so I used mud instead. I'm so happy! Now sonic and storm!!! Wish me luck to get 48 hrs breeding time!

Hi Guys. So excited. Think I've got my second blue fire. We couldn't breed fire and cold direct the first time, we had to use a hybrid. But you can breed bluey with cold. Did Bluey and Cold first time and got fire so tried Cold and Bluey and have 12 hour timer! Surely it can't be a Cold coz he's a purebred.
