The Guardian reports today that the smash hit gaming phenomenon Draw Something , which was acquired by Zynga for $180 million from OMGPOP, has just been updated with some very popular new features, including the ability to share your drawings on Facebook and Twitter, and a new chat feature that lets you send messages of up to 100 characters attached to your drawings when you send them to your friends; it’s the sort of thing that works really well in Words With Friends, for example, and makes a great game even better.
“I look at these as features that are about reinforcing the social relationships,†Dan Porter, who was previously chief executive of OMGPOP and is now vice president and general manager of Zynga Mobile New York, told The Guardian. “The game is very dynamic based on who you’re playing, and it can be so personal, which is why I think it will continue to connect people. Those connections are something that contributes to the longevity.â€
