Error 3194

I was trying to update my iPhone 5 to from 6 to 7.1.1 and I got the above error: 3194.
The phone is now start in recovery mode.
1. How do I get it back to normal, to use it before I learn how to upgrade it properly?
2. I took it to b my laptop and I got this message: "iTunes has detects an iPhone in recovery mode. You must restore this iPhone before it can be used with iTunes".
How do I restore it. Is there a better way out of this challenge?

Restart your device, this should get it out of recovery mode.
