Facebook App not working

Whenever I open Facebook on my iPad, it has started come up momentarily and returns to the iPad home screen. However the exact same Facebook app on my iPhone (from where it was copied via iTunes) works fine with no problems. What is wrong with it and how do I fix it?

Since the official facebook app for ipad did not release by now,there is always some technical or any problems..

There is a popular facebook app out there called Friendly I personally like to use. Check it out.
