Well, the iPad Mini 5 was released in 2019, so showing its age and although it can run iPadOS 18.x will it be able to go to the next version and support the newest features, such as AI? Looking at the Mini 7 HERE, some of the features that stand out to me are listed below, especially like the first three which are on my wife's Mini 6 - the latter is her third Mini - I usually buy her a 'new' one on alternate models released so will wait - BUT if she had the Mini 5, I would get her the 7; just my two cents.
