Facebook does not update

I was notified of an update to Facebook since March 18th

Today is 11th April and downloading the update is still only halfway

Once in a while a message comes up saying cannot download Facebook at this time

All my other apps have updated without any problem

I suggest going to wifi settings forget net work then reconnect and enter password. You also could delete the face book app and reinstall it

Have you tried to do the following fixes to see if this might jump start the update process again? Have a look below and see if this may help:


1. Force the app to close?
2. Try to restart your iPad?
3. Try to do a reset?

You can try this in order, if an app becomes misbehaves...

Force the app to close down by pushing the home button twice or by doing a 4-finger swipe to bring up your multi-task bar. This will show all the apps that you have visited. Press the app, until it begins to shake. Close out the apps by pressing the red circle in each app. It will only quit the app and not delete. Than try to re-open the app and test out.

If that doesn't work, restart the iPad by pressing the power switch down to power off.

Third is to do a reset by holding the power switch and home button together until you see the apple logo.

You may also want to try to delete the app and than try to install it again by connecting to iTunes on your computer using the USB connection.

I finally got the Facebook to update Rebooting did not help

I read online that I should try launching the app after a few tries

It finally downloaded thanks for your help

I suspect you had Internet issues which prevented the download
